From Bride to Behind the Scenes

When my husband and I got engaged, I fell in love with all things bridal, from pinning dream dresses to walking through the journey myself. I never expected that love to grow into something more but working at a bridal shop showed me just how special the experience could be. Helping brides' step into their dream gown wasn’t just about the dress, it was about connection, confidence, and joy.

After our wedding, I started doing social media for a local business and quickly realized I had a knack for bringing beauty to life online. That’s when it clicked! I could blend my love for weddings, creativity, and storytelling into something meaningful: content creation for couples on one of the most unforgettable days of their lives.

Now, I get to spend wedding days behind the scenes, capturing the in between moments and turning them into memories. It’s more than a job, it’s an honor to help tell love stories, including my own.

From a young age, Mackenzie was surrounded by the beauty of preserving life’s moments. With parents who never missed a chance to document birthdays, holidays, and the quiet in-between, she grew up with a collection of home videos that now hold a lifetime of memories.

That love for capturing meaningful moments came full circle when she stood beside her best friend as a bridesmaid. With her iPhone in hand, she found herself drawn to the in-between moments, the laughter, the anticipation, and the details that often go unseen. She wanted to preserve them for her friend to relive long after the day was over. It was in that experience that she fell in love with documenting love stories in a way that feels real and lasting.

Now, as part of the Captured by Carody team, she brings that same heart and intentional to every celebration, capturing each moment as it naturally unfolds so it can be felt, remembered, and cherished for years to come.
